The last time I stopped blogging for an extended period wasn’t because I had stopped playing games, but one single game, Skyrim, was taking all of my digital time. I didn’t really get into Saints Row 3, although I enjoyed the previous 2 instalments… it came across as a little forced. I’m only on my second stage, but am enjoying been back with Sam, and the challenge. Sam is a deadly skilled foe, but he is still vulnerable, and not too overpowered. After completing Far Cry 3 I’ve delved into my back catalogue (waiting for Splinter Cell this weekend, and ultimately GTA V). I posted last week how no-one does pre-launch like Rockstar, here’s more validation, truly huge hand painted murals in LA and NYC… I’m even tempted to pre-order, and I can never remember doing that for a game prior, I hate this seasons game drought. One sticking point is Xbox or PS3? Thinking Xbox for the multiplayer and Gamer Points 🙂

I’m never keen on this time of year, the dry spell between E3 and the pre Xmas push, where there are no new title releases 🙁 Thank the digital gods that Far Cry 3 has longevity, and Kerbal Space Program 0.21 update as landed September’s GTA5 release can’t come soon enough!

Have to wait for 6 months, but here’s the trailer. This has been milked by Capcom, and considering I might switch from xbox to Steam for this release… if it runs on Linux then it’s a no brainer 🙂 Sad that I’m more excited by the nerfs and power mods than I am by the new characters.
