I’m really enjoying Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II The graphics are fantastic, better than FFXIII for the FMV sections. Then why oh why do the stars have to be wallpapered on in repeated sections? An easter egg back to the original film? I’m easily distracted now in each space scene, & it’s Star Wars, there are several :), looking for the pattern & missing out on the great graphics…

I’ve played a few versions of Mortal Kombat over the years, but it always seemed to me more of a button spamming game, with over powerful simple moves aka the uppercut. This weekend I picked up Assassins Creed Brotherhood for the PS3. I played the 1st 2 on the 360 & enjoyed them lots. I was a little reluctant to play this on the PS3, as I kinda wanted the gamer points on xbox live… don’t think I’ve mentioned before about my compulsion to build my score 🙂
I’ve only recently picked up a PS3, strange for me as I usually import new consoles when they first enter the market; paying outrageous prices & then have to import games… until modded 🙂 Examples: Original PS2 1000 from Hong Kong, just sort of 1000 GBP in 2000, left back in homeland (pre chipped) PSP, picked up in Hanoi, Vietnam 2005 for about $300 US, now lost 🙁 (never issues…

I’ve finally got hold of a copy of child of eden, the long wait is over, & was it worth it? Damn yeah! After I’d been charmed by the stunning, plot setting, intro, I played through the 1st level. Which takes you through a non invasive tutorial… after all there’s not much to learn. I won’t try & explain the plot, watch the youtube intro to give you the background.…

I’m quite frustrated about this release, as I usually am by all Call of Duty map pack releases which are done 3 months before the release of the next title in the series. The profit margins are huge! Game releases ~$120 nzd 3 map packs ~$20 nzd * 3 = $180 bucks Ok, I do put many hours in, but surely I’d get more hours per map if they were…

I’m to use this post to track the prices of console games in New Zealand, compared with the rest of the civilised World. I have an idea that they’re overpriced due to lack of stores… lets see what my web research shows For my 1st example I’m to use Child Of Eden, as it just released today & no store in Auckland has seen it!
