deus ex augs

I’m not sure why this iteration of Deus Ex isn’t getting me enthralled, but nevertheless I’ve made it to what I feel is the beginning of the game proper. And now the big question arrives; how do I spend my praxis points? There are many guides online, and I found this Forbes article the most helpful: Ten Things I Wish I Knew When I Started ‘Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’ I…

I understand Search Engine Optimisation, although I don’t claim to have a clue what is happening with the Google search algorithm; and thus this question? Why does this site [www.gamer-geek-news.com] get presented on the first page of Bing, DuckDuckGo, and StartPage, when searching for ‘Gamer Geek’; but not Google? Found an answer Why do I get different results with StartPage than Google? Last modified on 16 August 2016 02:45 AM…

Journey free

02/09/2016

Journey is coming free to PS4 PS Plus members in September, w00t 🙂 Together with Lords of the Fallen; from what I’ve read is Dark Souls like… not sure how to take this as I’ve yet to get far in a Dark Souls title, due to lack of time and ‘git gud’ ability… must revisit DS3 & Bloodborne Awesome! Journey has shown up for free in the Playstation store today…

Paranoid much?

01/09/2016

I’ve tagged so many articles to post about, I really must sort out mobile access. One find I’ve gotta share is the Paranoia RPG game rebuilt in python… although I haven’t had chance to run it successfully as yet /* This is a solo paranoia game taken from the Jan/Feb issue (No 77) of “SpaceGamer/FantasyGamer” magazine. Article by Sam Shirley. Implemented in C on Vax 11/780 under UNIX by Tim…

Travelling so not a lot of time for games; but did pick up Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Awesome follow on to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, although I’m not happy with Square Enix’s pay to evolve quicker model… will this set a theme for Final Fantasy XV? I’ll post more after I’ve played more 🙂

12 out of 15 hours of my Overwatch time have been spent playing Mercy, time for a change! And not just in character, but play style… although funnily enough I’ve achieve better healing stats with Lucio, and love the advantages of Symmetra. So I’ve taken my fight to the front line, when no-one else in the team has chosen a healer in quick play; I’m just one level away from…

tidal cycles

09/07/2016

http://tidalcycles.org/ No time to install and code just now, but I’m very excited of playing with this application in my (salaried) work space TidalCycles (or Tidal for short) is a language for live coding pattern. It allows you to make musical patterns with text, describing sequences and ways of transforming and combining them, exploring complex interactions between simple parts. To see and hear Tidal in action, check out some videos…

I vaguely remember back in the 80’s as Rubik cubes were popular, the miners were striking, and Thatcher was invading the Falklands the height of technology was a keyring that would beep in response to a whistle. This technology has been brought into the modern age with a cool little blue-tooth device named a Tile From the site: Never lose anything again Are your things always running off? Not on…

SFV Story mode

09/07/2016

I’ve been so underwhelmed with Street Fighter V from launch, and the new characters plus story mode haven’t been enough to improve it. The game searching is far too long, and the lag is appalling. Something has gone wrong when a previous version is a more playable balanced game

Installing Overwatch on the PS4 ps4 first contact @ 90.61%, don’t know what to expect, except what I’ve picked up from the brief tutorial… here are class tips I found from the PSN blog Bastion Don’t stay deployed in Sentry Configuration in one location for too long, or your enemy will adapt and gain the upper hand. D.Va If you use Self-Destruct after activating Boosters, D.Va ejects—but her mech continues…

I’m 30 hours into Dark Souls 3 … my favourite From title to date! The game is as challenging as the other souls series, except the bonfires seem to be a little closer together… it’s still a fantastic feeling of accomplishment to unlock the next safe haven, the battles against the curious epic sized bosses are tough until you pick up the pattern of attack. although while ember’d up multiple…

Dark Souls 3

16/04/2016

Really must post more often, but family obligations and limited screen time get in the way… who am I kidding, I locked myself out with uber secure connections via Yubikey 🙂 So Dark Souls 3, the only title that’s credible to drag me away from Street Fighter V Wow, From have outdone themselves, finding a fine balance between challenge and playability, taking the essence from the earlier Dark Souls series,…

There were a couple of games I’d seen before; a teacher booting up a 5 1/4 inch disk of Elite being the most memorable [this is how long ago it was, none decimal measurements in fractions], on a BBC Micro However the first game I had the privilege of playing, and becoming a trial, was Thrust Thrust is a 1986 computer game released on most home computers. The perspective is…
