I love this time of year leading up to a new Ubuntu release (sad eh?), and the next one is a LTS, so even more exciting 🙂 From my RSS Ubuntu feed this OMG Ubuntu article: 7 Improvements In Ubuntu 14.04 LTS That You’re Going To Love tells of how the Unity Laucher icon size can be reduced even smaller! I didn’t know it could be reduced, and I’ve been…

Thief

02/03/2014

Today I’ve taken a break from trying to achieve 100% on GTAV, and have picked up Theif, for the 360 I’m a little reluctant about the game, from the not so hot reviews summarised at Metacritc, with a shocking 5.1 user score! Let’s see what the City brings, although I don’t think it will be as much fun as Dunwall.

xkcd – now

28/02/2014

This is the greatest thing ever, it solves the headache I have to encounter on a weekly basis organising calls across Asia, USA, and the Pacific. How do I go about nominating xkcd for a Nobel Peace prize for this work of genius?

You choose which pod to register with – perhaps your local pod – and seamlessly connect with the diaspora community worldwide. Freedom You…

After reading this article in The Guardian I decided to take a break from GT6 (I’ve +200% log in bonus, so was enjoying grinding, building up my bank balance) and after 5 mins playing it, I’m ready to delete it. From the article: Flappy Bird is the No 1 free app in the Google Play app store. Since its launch on the site last week, it has become such a…

Outernet WiFi for the World from Outer Space I am really intrigued by this project, after recently looking into mesh networks. Looking forward to June, and hoe they can launch the service without a glitch. There are more WiFi devices in the world than people, yet only 60% of the global population has access to the wealth of knowledge found on the Internet. The price of smartphones and tablets is…

I’ve just watched the 2 series 17 South Park Black Friday episodes, as fantastic satire as ever 🙂 “I like the PS4’s controller’s better.” – “The PS4 controller has a touchpad interface.” “Let these Sony fucks wallow in their limited voice-control functionality!” “When you pre-order a game, you’re just committing to paying for something that some assholes in California haven’t even finished working on yet.” – “You know what you…
