Insightful article from The Guardian, both interesting and scary. I’d love the opportunity to play with some of these data sets.

Here’s an interesting article at Joystiq, comparing the prices of past consoles at release, with today’s prices, allowing for inflation. Surprising? Not really, given we know that hardware retail prices are subsidised, and the dollars are made from software sales. Thus why the manufacturers want to control the retail market electronically, and not leave chain stores to shifting hard copy discs, plus kill off the second hand game market. After…

After googling “Deadpool”, I read that he appeared in a Wolverine movie… I won’t name the film, please don’t search for it, and don’t waste your precious moments alive by watching it 🙂

On a chilled Sunday afternoon, who needs more than this! Mindless violence, punctuated frequently with humorous quips, while making simple decisions of light / heavy / ranged / teleport. Welcome to Deadpool. It’s easy to work through, challenging in that you’ve gotta get the solution right without needing to googling it, but most of all, it’s fun! Plus I haven’t played a more comic book style game since XIII Gaming…

I’ve now played a couple of hours of The Last of US, hoping it will be a game I’ll play to completion. I am only early in to the story though, just finding my fist Clacker corpse, and **SPOLIER ALERT** why didn’t I read anywhere that Sarah dies! 😉 I finally picked up Hawx-2 last weekend. If there is one genre I feel as not received the quality and quantity…

A great update to the new look Android Gmail app this weekend! The delete button is back, without going through the sub menu. Genius… but how it passed through user testing intrigues me?
This will be interesting, as the OS should be easy to emulate… still upset they run with this and ditch Reader though 😉 Will Google become the next Nintendo, meaning 3rd place in the console market share… but surely they can never have bigger titles than Mario and Zelda? ign – Android Games Console

[Rating:4.5] My first endeavor into space and linux gaming, and I’m loving it! I did pick up a couple of PS3 games to play last week… but I’ve forgotten what they were (Yakuza 3, buggered if I can remember the other :)) all of my gaming, and blogging time has been taken up playing with rockets. 😀 So if you haven’t guessed yet, I’ve been enthralled with the Kerbal Space…

I don’t know how I missed this on launch… or after spending a little time playing with it today, I may have deleted it on launch and forgot about it 🙂 There are only 2 reasons I boot up my xbox, for Street Fighter and kinect games. And after burning off a bit of sweat on sports titles this afternoon, I started messing about with the voice prompts. One thing…

– Jet Pack: The classic ZX Spectrum game converted #2 top score for the month, not quite top 50, will try harder 🙂 This is one of my all time favourite titles, I love the simplicity, the challenge, and sense of achievement. It’s a great simple concept that works so well. I’ve been considering for a while to convert it to the Android platform, with only a little experience it’s…
Will we see this man as a spokesman for xbox again? Techcrunch discussion Update: Irony approved, video removed 😉

I’ve been using tor for a few years, but have never had the motivation to shell out for vpn.. I mean, seriously what do I do that warrants tracking, I post all I play with here… until I found free vpn 🙂 This was until I came across Open VPN A free of charge (optional donation) service is offered, with servers in the UK, US, or EU. This give an…

I really do believe Job’s is delusional in the comments made in the below film, and is just trying to push the benefits of his products. Don’t get me wrong, I love the apps on my phone, but the driving reason it comes out of my pocket is to search

A couple or years ago I set my xbox Rock Band drums up via (Linux) Ubuntu, to play different drum samples. Many Linux installations have occurred since now and then, so that work was lost. Now I’m going to try and set it up again, but this time I have bigger ideas, not just my drums but I want to look into utilising my 8 button street fighter stick 🙂…

I haven’t entertained the idea of leaving a google OS on my Nexus 4 until hearing about the tracking information, as this would lose functionality compared with 4.2.2…. until now 🙂 Cyanogenmod has been my OS of choice, after acquiring my Nexus1. So I’m quite looking forward to the task of installing the latest version, and finding life beyond google. Not sure of how I feel about ditching Ingress though,…
