My darling wife gifted me this amazing little piece of Android based kit: nvidia shield

NVIDIA SHIELD TV is the essential streaming media player for the modern living room. Thousands of apps. Thousands of games. The most 4K entertainment. And the Google Assistant built in.

It’s awesome for streaming media via Netflix, Kodi, et al, and recently released high spec games (with many for free!)… but what I wanted it for was to play retro classics.

Together with retroarch and Dolphin all of my Sony, Sega, Nintendo and MAME needs are taken care of.

Still on the journey of setting everything up, I’ll share guides when complete.

Of course this then justified picking up a 60″ 4k TV for the play area 🙂
