http://kotaku.com/watch-the-biggest-space-fight-in-history-go-down-944457494 As cool as looks it’s still not enough to entice me back to Eve. Sad to see the Reddit guys get beaten though, I’ll catch up on theΒ politics and gossip later. Here’s a link to a word from the front line /r/Eve/TheFountainWarof2013 And here’s my favourite KSP guide Scott Manley‘s Fountain War Diary… I love his passion and excitement, punctuated with his little giggles. Wow, who is not excited by this? The graphics look fantastic with the first person view signature white / red colour pallet, and Faith’s moves look more stunning and fluid than before. Although Mirror’s Edge 2 will be a first-person action adventure, it “will be a different Mirror’s Edge than you have seen before”, according to Patrick SΓΆderlund, executive vice president of the EA Games Label. And if this isn’t…

After the retro music of D-rock this afternoon, I was surprised to come across another blast from the past via Ubuntu Software Centre, a game I first played back in the late 90’s Abuse Here’s the intro from the wiki, last updated 2 years ago! Kudos to Sam for keeping it alive. Abuse is a dark 2D side-scrolling platform game developed by Crack dot Com in 1995. It features beautiful…

Writing the last post on Space Marines took me back to some distant memories, and I started singing an old favourite ‘Get out of My Way’ π The band D-Rock, a hard metal British group released the album Oblivion, with lyrics inspired by 40k… this was one of the first CD’s I purchased! & TIL that Brian May played guitar on a couple of tracks too, Get out of My…

And this time I’m not posting about KSP, although I am enjoying the new 0.21 updates Space Hulk is available on pre-order from Steam, release date 15th August. This was the board game that won over causal players, the ones who would watch you play a game of Blood Bowl, but would never commit to rolling up a team. The Space Hulk scenarios were quick and fun, not too much…

Nearly a month has passed since Google Reader was taken away from us π I’m still officially in mourning, and have yet to find a decent replacement. I’m never keen on this time of year, the dry spell between E3 and the pre Xmas push, where there are no new title releases π Thank the digital gods that Far Cry 3 has longevity, and Kerbal Space Program 0.21 update as landed September’s GTA5 release can’t come soon enough!

Reports of the OTA arriving are coming in fast and furious The 4.3 OTA for the Nexus 4 seems to be rolling out en masse, as I’m getting reports from everywhere that it’s now available. Lack of Indy developer support from Microsoft is another reason that I’m been pushed towards the PS4 for my (first) next gen console. Iβve had a long time love affair with Sony, only enticed to the xbox as Microsoft offered online games first. Now times have changed, this feature is no longer unique, and what benefit have I had from paying to play online all this time. Don’t get me…
