I was so stoked today when I opened up Google, to search out a SQL solution, to find a small Rubik’s cube in the top corner of the screen. After clicking on the cube I was even more blown away to find a fully scrambed digital cube to solve 🙂 I’ve now have my solve time for a real cube to just under a minute, although I didn’t have time…
This is an interesting move, sure it will drive sales and profit for all involved If your company’s primary way of accepting online payments is via PayPal, then your Android-using customers are about to get some good news. Starting today, users in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Finland, France and the Netherlands will be able to use the online payment service to purchase apps from Google’s…
This is to be my next techy mission, time to put some thought into game content: top five tools to make games This article could be a good barometer to forecast my success 🙂 hackathon – make a game without code experience And here’s the 2d project guide… looks like I may have to use Win7 for this, although I’ll give Wine and Virtual Box a try first

phandroid.com: Download Microsoft Office for Android for free starting today! I’ve now had the opportunity to try out Office on Android, compared with Google’s Quick Office. It feels a little more prompt to react, and more feature rich… however still challenging to navigate with adult sized digits. The one dissappointment is that files cam only be opened from Microsoft One Drive (nee Skydrive)… although I guess this is more secure,…
The Washington Post Google has begun routinely encrypting Web searches conducted in China, posing a bold new challenge to that nation’s powerful system for censoring the Internet and tracking what individual users are viewing online. The company says the move is part of a global expansion of privacy technology designed to thwart surveillance by government intelligence agencies, police and hackers who, with widely available tools, can view e-mails, search queries…
Forbes – Bringing Back The Demons It’s impossible to talk about Dark Souls II without a discussion of Demon’s Souls. In many respects, Dark Souls II is as much a sequel to From Software’s PS3 exclusive as it is to the original Dark Souls. If the two games had a baby, this hellishly difficult creation would be their demonic offspring. In form and function, Dark Souls II feels much more…

Two words, Dreamcast and beta, that I haven’t heard used together before! Time to dust off my Dreamcast, although I think the challenge will be funding a TV that it will play on 🙂 ToeJam & Earl 3 beta brings funk to the Dreamcast 12 years too late

This weekend I’ve tried a theme of style over budget… not meaning I’ve paid more for games [they were all arcade titles], just that the creators didn’t have the budget of the NSA 🙂 I’ll create a write up when I can be arsed 😉
