To date, Nintendo has released more than 150 official screenshots for the upcoming Mario Kart World. We enjoyed 2021’s Lost in Random and have patiently awaited more news on its upcoming follow-up, Lost in Random: The Eternal Die. Mario Kart World is one of the year's most anticipated games, and today's Nintendo Direct shed some light on how its gameplay will differ from past entries. There are new modes and integration with the Switch 2 camera, but Mario Kart wouldn't be Mario Kart without its items and tricks, and this game is iterating on both fronts. Today’s Mario Kart World Direct revealed how the upcoming game leverages the Switch 2’s new voice chat and camera functionalities, from chatting with your friends to displaying your live face for all to see.  GameChat allows for in-game voice chat, allowing players to speak to each other during online races using the Switch 2’s built-in microphone. You can also watch each other's live game screens broadcast to the party.  It’s worth noting that players can use GameChat without subscribing to Nintendo Switch Online until March 31, 2026. Horror developer Bloober Team made a big splash last year with its remake of Silent Hill 2, a game our reviewer called "engrossing and unsettling." Mouse: P.I. For Hire evokes the classic cartoons of the 1930s in its rubberhose animation style, but it’s a first-person shooter at its core. That means it’s all about the guns, of which we’ve largely only seen era-specific firearms like Tommy guns and pistols. A new trailer for the upcoming 2D action game Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound reveals an additional playable character, Kumori, who will fight alongside newcomer Kenji Mozu.  As a member of the Black Spider Clan, Kumori combines modern weaponry with demonic power to take down threats. She most prominently wields twin daggers to slice apart foes up close, but she can also toss them to hold back distant threats. Destiny 2: The Final Shape wrapped up the decade-long story that began in the first game, and fans will soon find out where the franchise is heading next. Bungie has announced a reveal event for the game’s next expansion, The Edge of Fate, on May 6. The event will air at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET. Though most Capcom fighting fans are looking ahead to next month's arrival of Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the publisher is showing that it will continue to support its existing compilations. Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics arrived last September on PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC before arriving on Xbox One in February, but that isn't stopping Capcom from improving the library of included games months later. Just over two weeks ago, we learned developer Jagex was creating an open-world survival game set in the RuneScape universe with a nebulous "spring" Early Access release date. Screenshots from the unannounced but heavily rumored remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion have leaked online. Apparently, fans unearthed the images by digging through the website of the game’s reported developer, Virtuos Games.  The images, which have now been circulated on social media by popular accounts such as Wario64, various forums like Reddit and ResetEra, and have been uploaded to image galleries like Imgur, depict several before/after screenshots comparing the original game to its updated visuals. Dune: Awakening has been delayed. The upcoming MMO based on the popular sci-fi universe was originally scheduled to arrive on May 20. Developer Funcom explains the delay will allow the team to address feedback provided by players following the Persistent Closed Beta. EA has pulled the curtain back on Star Wars Zero Company, a new single-player turn-based tactics game. The title is being developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with Respawn Entertainment, the studio behind the Star Wars Jedi series and Titanfall. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we're getting about Star Wars Zero Company for now. Four years into a console's life cycle is typically around the time its producer will permanently decrease the console's price. Yesterday, Sony announced it was doing the exact opposite, raising the price of the PlayStation 5 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Africa. After announcing the project in 2023, Destiny and Halo developer Bungie is finally ready to reveal gameplay for the next evolution of its Marathon franchise, which predates both of those.
